HTC_IME question?

I have samdroid mod with HTC_IME cooked so it's my default keyboard when the phone reboots, now how in the world or what key do I press to select another keyboard someone yesterday share a nice black swype keyboard to go along with Leo Theme and I'm not able no select it On settings/language & keyboard I have swype checked but then I'm stuck not being able to invoke the option to select another keyboard like on regular android keyboard....

anyone.... please!!

what does the mic icon do on the HTC _IME it does not work gives a network error for me...

I think that option is only for HTC phones but I could be wrong off course.
