I've recently gained an iPhone 4. Is it possible if I unlock the sim to put android software on it? I've seen them before that look like they have android on them but not sure if its just themes.

And proud of it.
as i remember is't possible with iPhone 3g/3gs
video: Android running on the iPhone 3G! - YouTube
and here is link howto: How to Install Android on Your iPhone | PCWorld
so it should work with 4/4s
I don't think this is possible for iPhone4/4S. But... it's a matter of time before we get a proper android on iPhone4 thanks to the UnbrickableMod:

Thanks to Adam Outler and Rebellos all the Hummingbird devices will be able to run any operating system you want :-)
I know there is also an app that lets you install Android on iPhone3G/3GS but I am not sure if this is a 100% working OS.
well, I won't be surprised if we get WP7 port onto Galaxy S one day... all, thanks to the above
basically iPhone WP7 port is also possible in this case
Good stuff, going to start attempting it on my days off this week. If successful ill post some screenshots etc. Thanks

I think not all apps, softwares are compatible or can install on the iPhone, this depends on differnent version of the apps.
BTW, you could get many free and nice apps for you iPhone from iFunia and appolicious.

About WP7: It won't be ported to anything else.. It's closed source software, it was ported to HD2 only because Microsoft was testing WP7 on HD2 and software was leaked.
If you need any help feel free to PM me here or:

I know that WP7 was successfully ported to HD2 thanks to the official MS drivers' leak but still porting it to any phone is possible once you have the possibility to change the bootlader of the device... all you need is people with passion and free time
