Is there any chance of getting HQ mode to work with the latest YouTube app? If not, could someone just reupload the latest version where it does work? Thanks.

it's not about the app, but the drivers. If I remember correctly YouTube never worked on HQ on 2.2 and neither in 2.3 (I could be wrong about 2.2, it was long time ago ). But I can assure you it's not the app.
