i think it's not working in frozen eclair, how can i return back to to older version of market?

I can't seem to install it. When I tried to install it says "application not installed" and the market is still the old one. Any help?

I'm using Cyanogenmod a8.4 btw.

with rootexplorer go on system/app and rename vending.apk to vending.apk.old then copy this new market on system/app and rename it to vending.apk, reboot the phone. if something go wrong remove vending apk an rename the vending.apk.old to vending.apk, reboot and you are back to the old working market

Maybe this is a way back

Go into your phone’s Settings
Select “Manage Applications”
Select the “All” tab at the top
Scroll down to Market app and select it
Select “Uninstall Updates”
Now have your old Market back

I like it but some developers are complaining it's now harder to get noticed since there is no "Just in" section like they used to have.
