m using Reliance since 7,8 months,and it has been quite brilliant with around 15,20 average speed.
waiting for Reliance 3G.

heard that Reliance will b launching 3G at a very nominal rate.

nope, u wont be able to use the google apps, however u will be able to use the stock browser....

@parth yes thats the setting for Voda Mobile Connect wich enables the google apps,, but its very expensive... data plan= rs 899 per month,, poof...

@Jay, i didn't check the PM since that day, though i am still confused about the possibility of using Vodafone Live (INR.95/30days) plan in the same manner which i am able to do with Airtel's INR.98/2GB/30days plan ???

i dontknow how u ppl r getting 20kbps in gprs..i stay in kolkata n have tried both airtel n reliance,,but i hardly get speeds more than 5 kbps,,even at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speeds are service and traffic dependent !! As I am residing in NCR, 20kbps over Airtel's EDGE is a normal thing
However while i roam to my native place, it will only give around 7-8kbps, which is certainly a basic GPRS.... and this can be verified by "E" or "G" symbols popping next to the service signal indicator. :P

yea,,dat vodafone offer is for WAP services,, parth is creating the confusion... :P
the best offer from vodafone is rs. 500/a month/ 10GB..... good speed


nd about the airtel thing,, even I get 5 kbps though I live near a main area,, I think its dependant on distance from tower,,
I prefer using tata docomo.... rs. 95/month/6GB... moderate speed..
