Default Sony Ericsson follows the path of Samsung

Just like what Samsung did to us with our spica, Sony Ericsson did it with their flagship device i.e Xperia x10.

With the official update to 2.1 eclairs, they did not give Multi touch capabilities to x10.
According to Sony Ericsson its crown jewel XPERIA X10 doesn’t sport the hardware needed for performing multi-touch gestures on the XPERIA X10. That’s why there’s no sign of pinch zooming in the Android 2.1 Eclair update despite that the smartphone has a nice capacitive screen.

Fortunately, some developers over at XDA didn’t buy that story and went on a quest for enabling multi-touch support on the Sony Ericsson flagship. And frankly, they’ve succeeded.

Source:Turns out Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is capable of multi-touch after all, I wonder why SE doesn’t use it

I don't understand what's wrong with these companies. They earn such a lot that they can buy a whole bunch of developers greater in number than the total number of members on samdroid forum. But always they epic fail.

I am wondering why the hell they took such a long time just to give a 2.1 update.

Xperia x10 is a Flagship device, so it is a big news and big websites like gsmarena are publishing it. But in case of spica...just a single blog published the news that too after 2weeks.

Many ppl don't even know if there's a phone like galaxy spica nor do they know that we did it 1st. :/

    sad but true.
Samsung messed up spica's chances of becoming popular.

Engadget also published Gabriel-LG's work. Google it.

Guys simple answer is: these companies and their decisions are all commercial. They just want to sell more new models with some extra features.
