ASKING Suggestion - Switching phone to........???

As per title, I am considering to switch from spica to (what is your suggestion and why):
- Galaxy S
- Nexus S
- Optimus 2X
- Defy

The reason is because just simply I need Video call features, going out of town once a month, so I need face to face calling

ALSO, I will be considering ROOTING my phone and using the MIUI ROM form those phones

Tell me what do you guys think of the choices?

Galaxy S is outdated. Don't get that, it lags when there are too many apps.

Nexus S and Optimus 2x are kind of similar. Nexus S for the fastest android updates, and best support both by Google and 3rd party devs.

Optimus 2x is not that optimised, I think some jitteryness can be felt when scrolling through homescreens, when I played with my friend's optimus 2x. But much faster in performance, like web browsing and other things. But I think software updates can help, but LG is not that well known in updates. I'd recommend this over the nexus S if you plan to root.

have you heard about MIUI custom rom? They are updating it once a week for the high end devices, including galaxy S and Nexus S. And I have been doing little research comparison of it, it says that Galaxy S with MIUI Rom is a reborn Galaxy S.
I need confirmation from end user for this, anyone??

If you really want the galaxy S, I'd say you go for the galaxy s2, the successor of the galaxy S. Dual core, bigger screen, much faster.

Hmm..SGS II is great on hardware, but very UGLY design, for me
I kinda planning to do complete white housing for the Galaxy S

But Optimus 2X is much better too than SGS II..I am so confuse :P

you can the sgs2 reviews on gsmarena,from what im seeing the sgs2 is #1,cool design,fast,lightweighted,dual core,miui,and much more.
