    Exclamation Bitlocker Mess-Up!!

    Okay here is a serious problem (with windows,not spica)
    I corrupted my external HDD which was protected with bitlocker.....now,when i insert the hdd, bitlocker asks for the password but when i enter it the computer hangs....
    what do i do now??
    i DO NOT care for the data....i just need my 1TB of space back.....can any1 help me?

    If you do not care about the data, the best thing you could do is to format the drive, which i believe is still possible despite the encryption (see: can you format a locked encrypted bitlocker drive - Overclockers UK Forums)

    Here is a link with ways to format a HDD in Windows 7: HDD format tool, hard disk partition format tool.
    If formatting in Windows somehow fails, you can try formatting it with GParted using a linux live cd (Like Ubuntu or Parted Magic). A tutorial for doing that is here: How to format a hard drive to NTFS using Gparted - YouTube (the vid skips to the part about GParted, which is the most important part)

    After that, you should have your space back.
