It's no contest. Galaxy S if you can afford it, dump the Spica. Even the Nexus S is miles ahead of the Spica.

I changed my Spica for Nexus S, and I can say, I didn't regret it (that's obvious)... We might all love our Spica's, but fact is it's low-end phone, and always will be, no matter what Tom3q does with his kernel. It will be faster than with stock ROM/Kernel (as is Nexus S with non-stock kernel), but, it is the fact that it will still be slow comparing to other phones. Now, Galaxy S and Nexus S have pretty much the same hardware, but I took Nexus S because it's just sooo sweetAnd it's LCD is curved
:P
Also, I dunno about Argentina, but here, LG Optimus 2X and Nexus S have almost the same price, so maybe you can buy 2X if you play games (I don't so I don't really care about Tegra...)
I think Samsung Galaxy S2 is a better option i like its features and its easy to play games and watch videos on it.
a little OT but...
What do you think about Morotola Defy+ and Sony Ericsson Xperia active, which one should I choose?
Defy (and Defy+) are both a very fine choice. I find it comparable to SGS in terms of performace, with a smaller screen of course, and it has the plus of being rugged - dust, scratch, shock and water resistant, many people have even used it to record video underwater.
Don't know about the xperia or how it would fare against.
Sony Ericsson Xperia active?
You need to watch this:Xperia active gets properly tortured, lives to tell the story - GSMArena.com news
after watching first movie(that with hammer) I had nightmares :/ one of most shocking movie I saw in this month...
i think spica would be good for modding but for personal use I think its time to move on to stronger phones![]()

Geee.. those videos gave me the chills... I don't think the Defy is *that* rugged. You really meant it, right? extreme ruggedness.
In terms of the phone specs itself, they're pretty similar or comparable, with the notable exception of the Xperia's display which is both much smaller (even smaller than Spica's) and has much less resolution (same as Spica's). Here you can find the exhaustive comparison: Motorola DEFY+ vs. Sony Ericsson Xperia active - GSMArena.com.
It suggests the Defy can record VGA, but it can actually do 720p as well.
Bought nexus s yesterday and in ICS. F***ing amazing. Spica was good but this is excellent. I had to sell off my Spica coz it started having hardware issues. Had an option galaxy r, galaxy s + or nexus s. And I don't regret my choice.
