I noticed on the tom3q's 5.3 alpha thread that by clicking "View first unread" while the first unread post is edited only takes you to that page, not to the post itself. Not sure it's exactly this, but I suppose so. Can anyone confirm?

1. I post something - it appears in the What's new section
2. You click on it - takes you to the thread
3. You click View first unread - takes you to the post
4. I go back and edit the post - it appears in the What's new section
5. You click on it - takes you to the thread
6. You click View first unread - takes you to the page of the post, not the post itself

Hmmm... actually it seems like the thread keeps appearing in the what's new section, what I wrote before might be wrong partially. Also I noticed when I click on View first unread it tells me that the changes I made in the editor will be lost and if I want to leave or to stay on the page.

Also if it's possible, I would merge search bar with the topmost bar (forum, what's new, wiki, etc.) and user's bar (Welcome ..., Notifications:, etc.) with the navigation bar (HOME, Forum -> Community & News ...). This way top of the forum will use much less space with more space for main contents.
