Default LG Optimus One to get Gingerbread: Spica c/o Samdroid next?

Guys, I searched around Google, and several sources say LG's Optimus One which ships with Froyo will be updated with Android 2.3 - Gingerbread!

From what I understand, and as several sources also said, all devices capable of Android 2.2 Froyo would be able to run 2.3 Gingerbread, so even just theoretically, will our beloved Spica be running Gingerbread after we get Samdroid Froyo, 3D from Tom3q, all tweaks?

I believe our Spica is more superior to Optimus One hardware-wise, so...

    Your thoughts on these buddies..

We haven't even gotten as far as getting a beta on both CM and Leshak's Froyos, so I believe we will get Gingerbread sometime 2nd quarter 2011..

I am more excited about our 3D drivers than getting Gingerbread at this point, though that news is reason enough for us to say that Samsung sucks, and Samdroid is great, having had made a Spica the best there is in its price range..

I have only one question . What is the biggest difference between Froyo and Gingerbread ? I see only one difference in the UI. Thanks for the feedback

yes, spica runs froyo but only because of our awesome devs...

we didnt get froyo, because of the tag "HARDWARE COULD NOT SUPPORT".... which means our "HARDWARE WILL NOT SUPPORT" gingerbread officially!!

so i think we are not gonna get gingerbread... unless our devs are ready to set out on another "adventure"...
