^Agreed. Non-programmer can also help out, but in a different way. I think the wiki would be a great place to start. For example, a BUGS section where there's a description of the bug, with affected firmware & Android version. Also, if possible a fix, so we & the developers here can keep track of it. Another example is a ROM section. It will list all the ROMS, with detailed description, features & developer's name. So people can easily check those info out, save time and avoid asking the forum the same question all over again.

I have the samsung galaxy spica and i would say defiantly do NOT get it! i HATE it!! The battery life is rubbish so if you use your phone like i do the battery dies 2-3 hours after charging! the phone has lots of fancy features but really what is the point when the phone dies so quickly buy using them.

You haven't handled the battery correctly, or you have a defective copy. Android 2.1 also increases battery life with optimized code execution. There are settings that further prolong battery life. Don't blame the phone when you're probably the one who is doing it wrongly.

Definately WRONG!
Spica has very GOOD batterylife among the Android phones!
I have at least 1 day under very heavy usage, 1,5-2 days normal usage! 2.1 Samdroid turbo Dalvik ARM V11
There must be something wrong with your battery, phone or you have an very battery consuming widget or service running.
Or you are using it as acess point with hsdpa.
Then 2-3h will be an appropiate running time.......

No,.It think the battery on SPICA is sufficient enough for my needs, normally I can use my SPICA for 24 hours or so,.but the battery life depends on how you use your phone though,.and also if you have bad reception in your area it also counts to your battery llife problem..

My battery goes along for 3 days: I only use HSDPA and synchronisation whenever really wanted (4 times/day) and other than that I basically make a lot of phonecalls, textmessages, etc.
