Question Adhoc,Laptop and LAN - internet on the phone???

Hi, I've read a lot, asked questions, and never found an answere.
So let me describe the problem deeply:
    1. I have a Lenovo 3000 N200, and the wifi card that supports only ad-hoc/can't emulate access point/
    2. At home I have only LAN internet and I want to use the laptops wifi card as a wifi router so I can share the LAN and have an internet wifi access point for the phone (when I had a Nokia 5800 I had no problem with that with the XP, with win 7 it didn't work, now I'm back with XP)
    3. At the moment I have the latest firm on the spica, witht 2.02 LK kernel, tried everything and still can't get the phone to connect and use the LAN from the laptop - with wifi tether it connect's, but in this case the phone acts as a router and has no internet.

So I want a straight answere - is there a way to connect to an ad hoc connection with the laptop, and use the shared LAN via the wifi connection on the phone, and if YES - HOW....

I need this badly, cause i don't have a free hot spot near me, and the data plans in BG are pocket-emtying...

In that matter of speaking - I've tryied almost every forecast program/widget and i have the same problem with all of them-they download a 5 day forecast, but on the homescreen always stays the forecast for the day when i updated it. Why does it download a 5day fcast if it always shows the first day, until i update it again...?

Saddly we haven't found a way to make the Spica to connect to an Ad-Hoc Wifi network on WinXP, but thanks to LeshaK there is a way to connect to an Ad-Hoc on a Win7 computer.

For more info, look at [Dev] WiFi Ad-Hoc on i5700. Access to Internet via notebook (WIndows 7)

The weather program only shows on its widget the data for the current day, the forecast is actually another part of the program. Besides, weather changes so fast that it's really better to check the weather data again at least once a day

Thanks, but this looks quite hard for me at the moment (I don't like doing things that i don't quite understand). I guess i'll look for a wifi adapter that can emulate access point.

I was also looking for a solution.

As a matter of fact, I got a higher Bandwidth LAN on my PC but i got EDGE connection on Mobile which is kinda slow. Just was wondering there could be an app with which you can Ad-Hoc network without any hassle and could surf at higher bandwidth sometimes then get back to EDGE connection.

My solution seems to be this -
    TP-LINK TL-WN321G.

It can emulate AP, so you can use it for wifi router and connect without any programs needed. The good thing is you can define access by mac address, so you won't have to switch it off for security reasons. It will work on XP, for 7 don't know. The best part is that I'll be able to take it to work and have wifi access on the phone almost everywhere. I'm buying it tomorrow afternoon and i'll write if it's worth it.

I haven't tried this myself, but I think a lot of people have done it successfully. You can use software like Connectify or Virtual Router to turn your laptop into a Wi-fi hotspot that your Spica can connect to. You need a Windows 7 laptop and compatible Wi-fi card for this.

Thanks, I know that, but that's the reason I'm back to XP - incompatible wifi card.
