Browsing through the web I saw a cool way to build apps from Google labs called app inventor is it any good?

Not that simple. I think you should use Eclipse instead if you can.

I've tried apps inventor... I'm sticking with eclipse.
apps inventor is only good for single screen apps, and I find the coding odd. Ive never used puzzle peices that don't fit right to code with. lol.
