Question Fastest Spica as possible ?

    Hi Samdroidians,

Please help me turn my Spica into the fastest device as possible. I don't want to buy a blackberry just for my emails.
I really tried searching with keywords fastest, speed etc, but didn't find any info.

    What is important
    - Good EDGE, 3G Speed
    - Email - IMAP (Not Gmail) for work
    - Responsive UI - Most important, to open contact, calls, SMS
    - Perfectly working vibrate/alarm/ring tones - for me sometimes the vibrate doesn't work.
    - Good Battery life, at least 1 day with medium usage
    - Maps / GPS

    What is not important
    - Games
    - Music / Audio / Video watching
    - Market
    - Browser
    - Facebook/Twitter.Youtube etc.
    - Android version - It can be anything from 2.1, no preference here.

What I would love to have, but not essential
    - Camera - right now its too slow to launch/click, I don't need any options etc.. just basic point and shoot.
    - GTalk - if I can run it without slowing down my phone, also with a different google account than the one I am using my phone with

Can you guys point me in the right thread please ?
Just some answer is highly appreciated, I can work my way through by searching after that
    Thanks in advance!

use voku's ROM plus Horse Power kernel 10B, those are the best for me looking at the smoothness and battery life

    Use Tom3q's CM7.2 build!

3G works really fast (downloaded a file off here yesterday at 130k/sec on 3G!
UI is the most responsive I've used on my Spica (even faster than stock Eclair ROM!!)
Ring/Vibe/Alarm is flawless - never missed a beat getting me up at 3.30 for work!
Battery lasts well - I've had over 30 hours out of a single charge with moderate use plus a bit of gaming

Games do work, but it depends how graphical orientated they are... 3D fails a little as of yet, though this will be fixed soon(ish)
Everything else works except the camera - will also be fixed ASAP.

on the flip side, you could try UFSC Perfected with Yonip 24bpp OCced..it's 2.1 but stable and fast and no problems with games or apps for armV6..also, use links2sd so you can leave apps you need to be fast on internal memory and games and other large apps to sd..
