    Unhappy [HELP] HOW I CN SURF VIA PROXY ON MY SPICA

    Here in India there r many tricks to surf and download freely with wap connections,previously i was using Symbian S60 handset,but now with Spica i cant use tthose tricks as in SPICA there is no option to use WAPconnection...only internet and internet+mms options.

    Plz help me guys

    Android uses EDGE, GPRS, 3G, HDSPA and WIFI.
    The WAP protocol is not supported AFAIK.

    i think you can fill proxy in APN settings

    yup i can fill proxy in APN settings but it doesnt work.......tried many times,not a single page loads

    For me the I needed the proxy to send and recive mms, I didn't need it to surf.

    it seem that eclair 2.1 ignore any proxy sitting the browser surf with the valid APN ignoring the proxy sitting, it's strange for me all mobile OS i have tried before used the proxy setting ,i don't no why thy put the setting in eclair2.1 at all ?!!

    Yup Samer,same here,before Android every handset which I used were able to run on both the proxy and without proxy settings...bt Android doesn't accept proxies,it runs on APN only.

    But still I love my SPICA,its just superb

    if you used 3G/HSDPA, it depends on your operator cell too. I'm using XL Axiata and there is a proxy there.
