I am having a strange problem if anybody can help.....on searching the forums, I found that imei gets corrupted only when we flash or apply any new mod ..ete...
but what happened in my case is that I've been flashing and modding for over a year , nothing of this sort had happened until yesterday when I found my imei 000000000000000 and I'm not able to call and text....I'm on spicagen mod 3.5 with YONIP Final-3D Rev.04 24Bpp....

I had installed the mod about a month ago...

    Someone please help....

I can retrieve the nv_data.bin with the following...

How to get it. You need 2.1 with Root!
    in adb shell enter:
    Code:
    su
    cat /efs/nv_data.bin > /sdcard/nv_data.bin
get it from sdcard and send to me in PM!
And it would be very interesting to get this file to your phone with IMEI = 000000 ...
    thanks!

Where did you find the imei in the nv_data.bin ? Hex location would be enough. (I know it's encrypted with a key which also resides in nv_data.bin, but the algorythm is hidden in modem.bin [well at least until someone can decompile it to a bit more than ARM opcodes])

And also, you say that you can change back the IMEI remotely. How exactly, because changing the nv_data.bin is only part of the solution, you have to write it back to the flash. Do you read the whole bml0 partition, change the nv_data.bin location and write it back ?

    Thanks.
Did you find any solution for getting the hex location for IMEI on nv_data.bin file? If you know how please let me know. Thank you in advance
