    Default Safe mode in android??

Something weird happened today. I was playing cut the rope and my phone hanged and restarted. I am on spicagenmod. When it restarted it said "safe mode" in the left bottom corner and all my installed apps were gone. Restarted again but same thing happened. I cleared dalvik cache and then it got back to normal.

Does anyone know what this safe mode is. I thought it was only in windows. Hope there is no issue with the hardware.

    This might help.

t's just a mode where your apps are disabled, so you can uninstall any apps causing you a force close loop. No idea how to enter it though, this was what I found after googling it.

Happened to me yesterday after a normal reboot. Another reboot and it was gone. First and only time it happened to me in ~7 months of using this phone. And i've had a few continuous force closing apps...

    *sigh*

It works on all android versions. I guess cos its working on cm6 for me.

    1.Shut down phone.
2.Hold menu buttton, and then hold call down button to boot phone.
3.keep holding both menu & call down button until you feel the vibration after boot.
    4.safe mode *magic gliters*

Did a bit of Googling. I guess there is nothing to worry about. Cut the rope might have caused it.

    Anyway my config.

Hi new member here...has anyone ever had a problem where their Spica loses signal in good signal area & only gets the signal if you reboot the phone ?
This happened on my previous phone but I thought it just needed repair, so I binned it & bought a new one. Now its happening on
my Spica. Also toggling the airplane mode brings the signal back again.

Is this a known bug in Android or is there a known cure ?

    Thanks
