SamdroidMod Kitchen v1.x.x All in One [EN]

Hi,

I wanted to install samdroid but am facing a strange problem.

Currently, I have flashed XXJD4 on my Spica so had to root it first using LK2.02 but the problem I face is that the phone is not detected in my Win 7 x64 in download mode (drivers not installed) but I have installed the drivers properly, many times, and it is working fine in normal mode (I see the required details under device manager).

The only cause of this seems to be that I formatted my sdcard (required android files might be missing) using my computer (can't do using android, format sdcard does not work with JD4) because previously it was working just fine. But sdcard should not be the cause since I have to take it out when in download mode.

Any help in the same is appreciated else I am stuck with JD4 forever :'(

Thanks Henry, tried with both NPS 1.5 as well as Kies getting the same issue.

when you get this error, a complete reflash helps !!

the whole stuff :

-> JE1 -> LK 2.02 + update -> kitchen (with base) -> JIT (without base)

that helps for sure !

I have some problems connecting to my vista computer in download mode. What I do is that I open Odin and connect the USB in to the Spica and then in to the computer. It helps sometimes to try diffrent USB ports on the computer also. But usually it works best to connect the Spicas USB and the the computers. Don't know why though.

So how stable is JIT with the ARM11 optimized kernel? Has anyone tried it for more than a few hours?

+1 as the recommended solution. But you can also start from

::*> kitchen (with base) -> JIT (without base) ::

to save a few steps [assuming your LK2.02 has no probs.].

In my case, what happened was between the time i dowloaded and used Samdroid light base and then got an extra component without base (mine was just gallery3D) the kitchen was probably being redone behind the scenes. This was the time when the 1.0.3 samdroid was removed. Hence the without base download did not match the installed base package on my phone.

I re-download a base kitchen and my expected addons without base afterwards when it looked the kitchen was stable and redid the procedure with success after this.

i've used jit7.1 for more than two weeks, and using arm11 optimized with JIT for two days now. i can say that arm11 optimized with JIT seems more stable. no random reboots, just the forceclose on the calculator app which has been fixed already
