I would like to avoid cooking a base package version, in order to keep my apps and settings and whatnot.

Yes, DVM ARM11 optimize will also work if you want that.

i've already applied kernel 2.07beta1, but when i tried mount option on recovery, my pc didn't detect the mass storage.

It takes a while, i had to wait 5 mins for the PC to detect the mounted SD. But when I unmounted it, it stayed mounted, i was still able to surf through folders. No idea why though.

If you have SamdroidMod, you can cook full Rom (SamdroidMod Light +...) this keep your data & programs

once I flashed the samdoidmod PDA file the phone would no longer ask me for my PIN to unlock the SIM card when booting. Consequently the phone application quickly force closed, I could not use the About>Status section and other programs force quitted aswell. In other words unusable. Does anyone have a tip what may be causing this? From what I have read the combo of JD1 Firmware with DVM ARM11 optimized seems to be rather stable and a bit quicker than the firmware JD1 by itself. I am running JD1 with the current Kitchen

For those noobs (like myself) that had similar problems: I forgot one step in the chain. I initially installed no base package because I read that to install the ARM11 optimised DVM one needs to deselect base package. So the solution was to install once with a SamdroidMod package and once finished, install only the DVM ARM11 component (or JIT if you prefer) by itself.

Use light mode without hindi, there might be some problem with hindi mod. Leshak working on it, meanwhile u can use light mod only
