    Default Spica Camera shutter Lag

    Hi folks,

After using my spica for 1 & 1/2 years, and testing lots of roms and kernels, I still don't want to change it for a new phone, because the devs do a great job updating it and makes me really like it.

One of the few things that bother me is the tremendous delay when taking photos. The lag after pressing the button is always around 3/5 seconds.

Is there any fix or workaround for that?

    Thanls.

PS: I'm using SGM.FROYO.BETA.5.2 with YONIP_V_Final_VB_45_24Bpp. Phone is super fast and stable with great battery time.

Yes you can turn it off, but quality of your photos will be wors, blured if set to close(1-1,5m) and without deep in long distance photos(that is very important) because it set infinity focus for every pic.

that is correct.... photos are too bluried with the autofocus=off....

Any other suggestion? or this is just a hardware problem within the Spica?

We have to wait maybe tom3q will get some more out of it. He took a small break so it may take a while.

Yes, want to test CM7 but I'm waiting at least for the camera to work.

I really hope Tom3q can put his hands back on it!!!!

nope, i don't think that tom3q could do something with this focusing lag, its hardware bug(a może się myle?)...

Spica isn't best phone for taking pictures, but yes it know few tricks(check topic Best pictures taken using your Spica) but even my old sony ericsson k750i have more natural color reproduction, its better in handling with noise and exposure, and most important= its faster.

but other thing is camera app. As I say in other topic, Android is mess in terms of app memory management, there should be option for keep chosen app in memory, so when I turn on, for example, camera360 i don't need to wait again to open it, I don't use lots of app, and newer handset have lots of memory so there should be this option. Or some sort of optimization of this...

Hi friends i watch out all your reviews and now i want to share my review Take the time to learn a little about photography as well. No matter how much lag time there is, if the camera captures the kinds in frame when it shoots, the images should be blurry. The blur is from other causes.Slow shutter speed etc.You should follow this solution and get remove your problem.
