    Lightbulb Spica kernel hosting

    I have recently PM'ed a few kernel developers on samdroid offering them some storage space on my VPS to host their kernels so that users can download their kernels quickly and with no annoying waiting times from free file sharing sites.

    I have set up a website that displays all of the folders that the developers own on my server, so that users can find the kernels easily -

    Samdroid Kernels

    The main reason I have setup this service is to simplify and speed up the process of obtaining kernels and also to offer something in return for the developers amazing hard work. Its not a very VPS package and so I am starting out by offering 1gb of space each to developers but I can always increase is if neccecary. I cannot host ROM'S at the moment (maybe with one or two exeptions) because I dont have the space or bandwidth at the moment but maybe if i have some donations then i might be able to upgrade package.

    If you are an active kernel developer or are about to become an active kernel developer then please PM me and i'll be more than happy to set you an ftp account up on the server!!

    Once again I thank all developers for their hard work with the spica!

    Thanks for setting it up
    Could you host my kernel nKernel? And possibly a private git server for the samdroid devs so we can share projects that aren't open source e.g the kitchen?
    Code:
    for (n00b n : mSamdroid) {
        if (!n.findAnswer()) {
            n.useSearch();
        }
    }

    Brilliant idea. To increase space and bandwidth Dropbox could be used and you could simply use a website to index the Dropbox links.

    @nebkat I have sent you a PM with the FTP information. Hope that you make good use of the space

    About a private git server, I would be more than happy to host one but I'm not really sure how to set one up. I would also like to know if it would be needed by other devs as well!

    If developers don't want to add all of their kernels themselves then I will do it for them but they will need to send me a zip with all their kernels in because it would take me ages to wait to download them all from file sharing sites

    Hi I have upload here some kernels and other stuff for Spica -> https://www.sugarsync.com/share/cve9wzbkrirej -> sugarsync.com is free (5 GB) but if more people register with the link I post, I get more free space for spica-files ... at the moment I have 40.28 GB free space

    PS: and you / everybody can also upload files in the "UPLOAD"-directory

    I have now changed it completely and uploaded a file sharing script - XtraUpload

    This should now make it easier for all developers to upload their kernels in one place without any download waiting times for users. If you want an account then simply create an account and PM me to move you into the developers group!

    Check it out now -
