Angry spica suddenly automounts sdcard ! how come ?

    Hi
few days ago I noticed that my sdcard is automounted when I connect my phone to my pc (win 7), or my linux box (centos 5).

I haven't installed any app that suppose to automount the card, and I'm honestly not sure how did it start acting like that.

My problem is, when I disonnect the phone from my linux box (and few times from my windows box), I get an annoying message "preparing sdcard". and the sdcard is not available for the phone apps, for a few minutes.

Can someone tell me how to disable automounting ? I'd like to go back to the old way of turning sdcard on/off by myself.

    Kernel: 2.6.29 leshek-udev7 #13
    ECLAIR.XXJH1 samdroid 1.3.1d

    thanks,
    ardroid

Install Auto Mount My SD (freeware)- it can control automount behaviour.

This is strange, for me it takes 10-15 seconds max (after I added/deleted anything)
    Code:
    setprop persist.world.domination 1

thanks, but I'd rather do this without installing more apps, although I'll keep this option as my last resort. Does someone know which settings, or udev rules need fixing ?

did you install for example Doubletwist media player? It has an option to automount SD, which is enabled by default.

    You'r the man !
It's not double twist. It was winamp. After unchecking the automount feature, I had to reboot, and now everything's back to normal.
