I just replace the files inside su.2.3.6.1.zip with those from 3.0 like @darth_llamah said and after applied it I wiped Superuser data and it works for me

BTW i'm on Eclair, idk if it makes a difference...

im on SGM, I applied the zip and it gave me boot loop. I didn't wipe dalvik however.

i had boot loop i wiped dalvik cache and now i have superuser 3.0

first..try to update..until it failed...then go to /sbin via root explorer and delete su.bin --> update again..and voila...you have new binary update
