Thumbs down Unable to connect SPICA to AD-HOC wireless network

I tried to connect my laptop (win7) with SPICA .. but spica is not showing ad-hoc connection.. apps like WIFI Finder etc shows the network .. but they can't connect to ad-hoc networks

    Shocking!

Android can't connect to an ad-hoc wireless network :-( ..

this what i came to know from various forum ..

Now after googling.. i came across few pages/post which showed ways to to make this work.. in all cases devices needs to be rooted

Now the problem is none of this was tested on SPICA .. so didnt want to take any chances ..and wanted expert opinion all you ppl

    here 2 pages

How to connect an android phone to your ad-hoc wi-fi network | Wissam Idrissi

I got connectify installed in my laptop(win7 x86), and I had successfully started a AD-HOC Hotspot. But my SPICA couldnot find the network..
