vibrating and silenced issues in androidn 2.2.1

Hi ther, I have just upgraded my phone gti 5700 to android 2.2.1 (thanks ever so much to farukdgn for his advice, patience and help, couldn't do it without him) but I am now having a few issuenothing terribly serious.
1) vibration: even if I change the settings to turn on the vibrations on text messages, emails etc, the phone won't vibrate. It does vibrate when somebody calls me but when I tap on the keyboard, it just doesn't do it. Any advice? farukdgn suggested to have a look at some keyword apps but I couldn't find anything, any idea at all?I like the keyboard to vibrate everytime I tap on it so I would love to get it back if possible
2) when I press the volume key all the way down it used to get to a no-sound and no-vibrate mode. That doesn't happen anymore, it gets as far as no-sound but you can't get to no-vibration anymore. Does anybody know any fix/apps that deals with it?

For the first issue, go to the SMS app then hit menu and find the notifications part, there should be an option to toggle vibrate (I think it's disabled by default). I don't know about the emails though, maybe there's something like it.

And for the second issue, go into Settings->Sound and one of the first options should be something with vibrate, can't remember but you'll find it there. After you have fixed the setting, you should be able to press 'Volume Down' until you get to the silent mode.

If this is a really big issue for you, I'd recommend you to upgrade to 2.2.3 with Spicadenmod + X. Those solutions i mentioned above work just fine for me, and I'm using SGM Mod + X RC1 and I'm loving it. It's really smooth and the ICS theme is awesome! Really recommend you checking it out: Mod + X

I have just upgraded to 2.2.1 so I will leave it on for a while : - ). 2.2.3 release is beta still so I will wait till all the bugs are fixed
