It does not really make sense to access internet through a USB cable.
Why do you need it anyway?

When u r in the work, and need to access ur mobile for some reason... 3G or mobile access is a litle expensive... And u have to hack the wireless network, or just conect ur usb cable and Pum! for example....

As Email011 said, there are situations when you don't have access to a WiFi network and the 3G is either expensive or possibly not available.

I saw a situation once, i was at a mountain resort, they had wired internet connection in the restaurant and even had a few computers, but they didn't have any WiFi and my mobile phone provider didn't cover the area (i didn't have any phone signal at all), so there i was with a computer with internet access but i just couldn't connect my phone to it (and it was annoying to say the least).

And I'm certain there are many other cases where a "wired connection" would be much better than a WiFi or 3G one (probably faster too, so much better for watching a movie on the phone :-P)

I think the best way to buy a usb wireless lan for ur desktop then you can create ad-hoc network to use it as a wireless for ur spica like described here

    1. Click Start, Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center .
    2. Click Set up a connection or network.
    3. Click Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network, and then click Next.
    4. Enter a name for your network, choose a security type (WEP is probably fine, given that you're sharing your network with people you know), and then enter a security key.
    5. Check the Save this network box, then click Next.
    6. If you see a box marked Turn on Internet Connection Sharing, go ahead and click it.

    Thats all.
Although I've sold out my Spica I will still visit this lovely fourm and may even contribute, Thank you Guys
