    Default all photos lost on SD card

    Hello,

    I downgrade from 2.2 (SGM BE + yonip rev03) doing

    stock rom -> lk2.08 -> samdroid turbo -> SGM BE -> Yonip #45

    And now I lost all my photos on sdcard (under path /DCIM/Camera)

    Is this normal ?
    Is there a way to recover ?

    I found that I have less free space on SD than before so I hope recovery is still possible if this used space is with my lost images... or not

    You can use some recevery software on Your SD card to recover photos. Try Free Memory Card Recovery Software - Freeware file recovery for Compact Flash, SD (Secure Digital), SDHD, Memory stick & most digital memory cards. or google some other free one.

    And after you manage to backup, REMEMBER REMEMBER REMEMBER to backup your SD card regularly. I do that to mine about every month to my hard disk.
    The spica has a tendency to delete pictures.

    check the "lost dir" folder for files without extention and add .JPEG to see if they are the pictures, that happened to me once and they were in this folder.

    next time you make a clean install remove your cards from phone

    thanks to all, for your help.
    but it appeared that the jpg that I get back are only thumbnails : 20 to 90 kB against ~1.5 mB for a photo.
    I used rescuepro from sandisk.

    dioggo92 : i also tried your solution but none of the file in Lost.DIR was a jpg, thanks anyway

    Hi Beboo,

    Yes, you are right, lost photos can be recovered from SD card but only before overwriting the card. Two weeks back even i had the same problem of photo loss from SD card. As per my colleague guidelines i used a recovery utility and that helped me to get back all my lost photos.

    So download any good tool and evaluate. If you feel it can recover pictures then use it.
