Any Spica with AMOLED?
When I search for Spica specs on the net, some reviewers said it's AMOLED..
see Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 Review (Phone Arena Reviews)
here is just one of the examples.. I've seen other sites mentioned that too. GSMARENA does not mention if it's TFT or AMOLED. I have to admit that my Spica viewing angle is really good. Could it be amoled? lol... Could there be different batches of Spica out there some with amoled and some with TFT?? Like HTC Desire, early batch comes with Amoled and now new batch comes with S-LCD. Let me know what u think!

why doesn't it display 16m colours but only 65k? Since there is colour banding. Will firmware fix it to show 16m colour?

In many places Spica has been advertised as having Amoled displays, but they all have TFT screens.
Even the place where i bought it advertised it as having Amoled display but when we looked on the package it clearly stated it's TFT :-)
P.S. even though Spica is considered as a low-end phone it has a good quality display and it's visible from a very wide angle, that's why many people are still convinced they have Amoled displays :-P

so it's a TFT? or AMOLED? Maybe it's amoled but samsung wants u to believe it's TFT becuz it's a low end category phone.. It has multitouch hardware, 3D hardware, 800mhz processor.. but original firmware doesn't have driver for them.. I think it's just marketing tactic.. cuz this phone is low end. hardware recycle. To me the hardware are pretty high end.. only down side is 128MB of ram

Spica has TFT display only, I am sure about it.
I have seen AMOLED display in Galaxy i7500 and it looks brighter compared to Spica's display

Spica has a TFT screen. Its not amoled. But because of its good contrast and brightness, some people think its amoled, though its not. That was a false review from phonearena.
I have compared spica with samsung jet, spica loses easily.
BTW, the screen now supports 16million colours after eclairs update.(cupcake supports 65k only?
