Default Can't connect to hidden wifi signal

Well that's the problem.. here at work they have a wireless router that used to have "ssid broadcasting" enabled (normal wireless conection).. that way, I could see the connection, set the password and connect seamlessly with my spica.
One day they changed to a hidden connection, disabling ssid broadcasting and I could'n connect anymore. Notebooks can still connect but I can´t with my phone.
They gave me the ssid name and the password and I can find the connection in my spica but I just can't connect. Obviously I cheked and rechecked to have ssid name and password correct.
    Anyone with the same problem?
    thanks
I'm running JG2 firm, with LK2.08 and nothing else..

You may try using HiddenSSID Enabler from market. It may resolve your issue.

Remove the remembered network and re-add.

I also tried deleting and re-adding the connection several times to no avail..
I think i tried once with SSIDEnabler but it didn't work.. i'm not at work right know so i'll try it in the afternoon
I tried hard to convince my boss to turn it back again to normal mode but couldn't do it..i also tried with a fixed IP and nothing.

HERE you can check the issue..it seems to be a well known bug in android

For what i've been reading on the google page, this problem happens on a lot of android phones.. so i think it must be a fault in android's coding. Is there any way this could be fixed changing or porting drivers/kernels/libraries from other android phones with working hidden ssid?
Sory if its a stupid question..not that I can fix it but just to know if it could be fixed
    thanks

If it is a Enterprise WPA you might have to remove the credentials and recreate them.

It is WPA2. Im not sure if I follow you. You mean forgeting, deleting connection in spica and then re-adding it?

You don't say what age you are, but my guess is, you have a lot of learning to do. This is only a phase you're going through, its all part of the growing process. People can feel like this whether they're 13 or 23, but we've all felt it at one stage in our lives, usually our teens. It does pass though, you get wiser and gain more confidence and learn how to deal with situations. Don't panic! You'll be fine.
