Easy way to getting fast and stable SPICA for everyday use
Traditional:
WARNING: THIS METHOD CAN BE DANGEROUS. DON’T DO ANYTHING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU DO.I am must start this thread, because there are many questiones from new users about way for getting fast and stable phone. I am share my expirience and ivite all to discussion about really FAST & STABLE working solution for finding today's best.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TRANSFORM YOUR SPICA INTO A BRICK
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My WARNING!!! Read before!
Better use on fresh installation and wipe all from recovery before using.
If you have old installation, you may go to step 3 (recomended) but also you may at once try step 4, but had a risk of unstable system or/and bootloop at start phone.
If you have old installation with apps2sd ON, you also may have a bootloop at starting phone! The best way is OFF apps2sd---> reboot---> go to recovery, apply FE zip---> reboot, make apps2sd ON.
Anyway, if you have a bootloop: Remove a battery, plug battery, go to recovery, first try to wipe cache/dalvik cache, if this not help, try to apply your full samdroid basepack or undo or any other update zip. It must help and you dont loose anything. If not - use your backup for ODIN, or make data/cache wipe or fresh install all (loose all apps and setting).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCEDURE
There is very easy and has a 4 step, and better if you make a new clear install (I recomended read a instruction on forum for each step):
1. Flash latest firmware via ODIN.
2. Flash any LK (Leshak Kernel) above 2.02 (2.08 is better) via ODIN for getting a recovery. WIPE ALL - FACTORY RESET.
3. Generate and install SamdroidMod (EN/RU) with new LK deodexed kernel what do you want (with or without ARM DVM) via recovery. REBOOT.
4. Apply FrozenEclair.zip update via recovery. Great thanx @antibyte!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CURENT BEST SOLUTION, MAKE YOUR CHOICE BY RECOMENDATION OR TRY ALL IT YOURSELF!!!My current choice you may always look at end of signature...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VARIANT #1 - Frozen Eclair Beta 3
I am add a FE3 zip file, because its very difficult to find it in many pages on forum. Also, antybite kill all working links (in header of SAMDROID TURBO thread) for this file, because he has a new version of FE with TURBO v9 kernel. This version FE3 is only 2.2 DVM libs without kernel (you may look lightweight size) and it is ABSOLUTELY stable for me, 2 my friends and many peoples on this forum. I was made many tests with different kernels and FE, but always make return for this solution - now it is latest kernel LK2.0x.x + FE3 becouse it is fast (linpack ~ 9 mflops), smooth on UI and really stable for everyday use. So this variant if you want LK kernel + FE.
FILE to apply via recovery:
FrozenEclair_Beta3.zip
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VARIANT #2 - Frozen Eclair 7
This variant is also stable and EXTREMLY fast. I am may recomended it to use (stable as FE3). Applying of update files is replace LK kernel with standart tweaks to antibite's TURBO v9 kernel. This tuning kernel has a many experimental tweaks and bit faster in games than LK kernel+FE3. Also zip files include a latest antibite's tuned libraires.
I was test it during 2 day. But in my look this solution is not very smooth in user interface, example LauncherPro works with some jerks and a bit lag. Helix Launcher is more smooth.
File to apply via recovery:
FrozenEclair_7.zip
More information about TURBO projects and bugreports: http://forum.samdroid.net/f9/samdroid-turbo-1301/
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VARIANT #3 - Experimental
All version FrosenEclair and TURBO kernel from 8_beta1 are tested and seems STABLE. With more advantages, tweaks, fixes. You may use a newest version by own risk from this thread: -={ SAMDROID TURBO }=-
Recomended to use with ext2/4 filesystem mods.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UNDO AND UPDATE
I am strongly recomended to use all methods for regulary backup of your data in all levels: Samdroid Tools backup, Recovery backup, ODIN backup, or use minimum combination as 2 from them.
!!! Best way for UPDATE or UNDO is make a procedure step 3 with new generated Samdroid Kitchen Basepack (UPDATE) or your old basepack (UNDO). After that make step 4 if you plan UPDATE, or nothing to do if you want UNDO.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AFTER INSTALLATION
(if need - after checking system and all apps during 2-3 days):
About apps2sd - you may use it after installation if all OK and you check system and all apps during 2-3 days. Just ON it in samdroid tools. - This way if you have a many applications and want playing a games.
If you dont want apps2sd: Also you may use a BONUS from this forum: script for move a dalvik cache from /data to /cache - its work fine for me and this is best way for making more space (+40-50 mb) in /data for your favorite apps (if you dont need a games).
FILE to apply via recovery: dalvik-cache.zip

This is not enough, between Flashing and applying Samdroid there must be rooting (with LK2.10 or similar). So in my opinion this would go:
1. Flash firmware via ODIN (JC3 or later)
2. Flash any LK (Leshak Kernel) above 2.02 via ODIN (I advise along with CSC version from point 1)
3. Cook kitchen with optimalized DVM, apply it in recovery console (apply any zip)
I don't advise adding any FE for newbie user (I don't use it myself, since above configuration is best I've archieved).

am use i570EXXJH1 now - serch a forum (also as am know, latest kitchen use this firmware) This is not important because at end of operations your phone use only baseband from original firmware (JD1 now), the kernel will replaced after flashing kitchen.SamdroidMod + FE1->FE3->FE2->FE3->FE4->FE3->FE5->FE6->FE3->FE_prebeta7_5_MT->LK2.09.3+FE3->FE7b6->LK2.09.4+FE3->FE7->LK2.09.5+FE3->FE8_1+loop_v0.2->FE8_3+system_ext2/data_ext2->FE8_4+system_ext2/data_ext4 with ext2 loop device inside->Froyo_CM5.2+full ext2 - quadrant=670->CM6.1+full ext2->FE8b9UVSF+ext2/4->CM6.5->CM8.x+ext2/4
