    Unhappy [HELP!] SIM CARD PROBLEMS

A month ago I acidentaly put my micro sd card in to the sim card slot. I manged to remove it but in the process I bent a pin. I managed to Insert a piece of card to touch the contacts but this worked until when I put my phone down. I found that one of the pins is snapped in my machine! I cannot find this pin and the sim card does not work! Any help or qoutes of how much this would cost? (P.S would samsung need to replace the whole motherboard?) This could be the end of me owning a spica!

Default Spica i5700 - No Sim Card Fix

    Hi All,

I've been experiencing "No Sim Card" on my spica for quite some time. Turns out the spica's sim card connector pins did not make proper contact with the sim card. Fix is to make the contact stronger by nudging in a small piece of thin cardboard under the sim card and inserting it into the slot. Be sure to leave part of the cardboard sticking out of the slot so that it does not get jammed inside the slot and you can pull it back out if you need. You can then bend the protruding cardboard so it is flush with the spica's body and tape it so that you can install the back cover.

    Best,
    Erwin.

I had the same problem. "No Sim Card". I put the small piece of thin cardboard under the sim and it was recognised.
    Thanks!
