Question How to Import Contacts (phone numbers) from Sony Ericsson K750i to Android phone?

    Hi,

Can someone tell me how to import all my phone numbers that are stored in my previous phone to an Android phone?

    Previous phone: Sony Ericsson K750i
Android phone: Samsung Galaxy Spica GT-I5700

I have the possibility to send all my contacts via Bluetooth file transfer but my Android phone dont recognise it.

At my Android phone i see the received file name_of_contact_stored-number.vcf (with an VCF extension).

How can i Import this .VCF extension?

It contains Name, Phone number, Second ph. number, Address, E-Mail, birth date, Etc...

    All help is welcome!!!

    Best regards,
    Vaako

Just use MyPhoneExplorer for exporting phonebook from SE K750 into CSV or VCF file
And use gmail web interface for importing phonebook from exported phonebook.

    Hi,

I test it and my phone is being read out perfecly, but...
It is NOT possible to Export to CSV or VCF file!!!
It can export only to .MPB extension and Gmail just cant import that data.

    Thanks anyway for your help.

    there is another way:
create account in zyb.com, sync your k750i.
donwnload zyb (find it in android market) login to your zyb account in that application
then import to your contacts to android.

    Hi,

I have my contacts stored in my SIM Card, So I imported all of them from my SIM Card to the Phone memory.

After adding my gmail account it tries to sync with my contacts and now I am not able to see my basic phone contacts at all but the contacts are still there in the phone memory. Iam not sure why this is happening.

Please let me know if any option is there to view my contacts normally without syncing or something.

    Thanks in advance

Does your K750i have 'Send all Contacts' option in Contacts > Options > Advanced? If so, you can use that to send a VCF to your Android device via BlueTooth. Once you get the file over to your Android, open up Contacts (in Android) >> menu >> import from SD >> Select VCF.

Did the same to transfer contacts from my SE G502 to Spica. Though I didn't choose the import thing in Android, the contacts were automatically up! From then my Spica's been surprising me!
