How to map key?

My side unlock button does not work anymore, can anyone let me know how to map the search button to lock/unlock as I don't know use the search button at all..

in cm you can use end call button as a lock screen.

EDIT: or it was ADW ex launcher... I don't remember, and now I don't have spica with me, when I get it I gonna check this...

Yes, you can delete it from /system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl. This will prevent Android from receiving events from it. It won't keep the phone from exiting sleep mode, though, as it would need kernel modification to completely disable the key.

the best solution would be to disable power button and remap it's functions to camera button. Any ideas how??

In cm7 you can use power (end call) button as lock button, I use it. This is also in cm6 and sgm.
