Just a heads up: With Kitchen 2 + FE7 I still get the occasional cracks and pops while playing music. I think it's a bit better than before (with "before" meaning Kitchen 1 with no experimental components or additional mods) but that might be the placebo effect. Everything sounds like it's coming off a dusty LP ... :-( I'd really appreciate a fix so I can finally retire my mp3 player.

Any solution to this yet? I have to disable 3g every time I listen to music to be able to get decent sound, and even then I get the damn pops and cracks but not as much. I think this might be a hardware problem.

i'm also experiencing the same problem. i tried using mixzing and increasing the buffer size to huge but it didn't help either! can somebody please come-up with a fix for this issue?
update: using rockplayer in system mode actually almost eliminates the cracks and pops completely. just cant use it as a music player because it stops playing when the phone is locked. seems to me that there is hope. i'll keep trying other players.Last edited by mmj; 09-24-2010 at 04:55 PM. That's what I'm thinking/hoping too. I love music and therefore it pains me that my Spica can't play them faithfully.

I've been using Frozen Eclair 8 Beta 7 for over 4hours of music and it works great. Only had one problem when the music started to sound strange at one point and then i paused the music and just resumed and it was working again!

Don't know if Frozen Eclair 8 Beta 8 has the soundfix and because of that I didn't try it.
