Exclamation OMG, I F*@/ED up badly!!

    I'm such an idiot!

I was flashing my Spica last night to stock 2.1 to ensure a clean Froyo inst....well...blah blah, and I don't know what f***ing demon from hell possesed me to click on "Clear EFS" option!!

Now, of course, my phone's got no signal, my IMEI is 000000000 and I have no backup.

    My question is:

A friend of mine sent me his entire EFS folder (he's got a Spica as well and he's in the same country). So, can I use his nv_data.bin to re-write my own IMEI number and recover my phone?

Thank you and keep the tomato throwings to a minimum. I'm still learning

You should always backup your EFS, first thing ever.
My spica is running on Tom3q's Magic and Wizardry

i hope arc.impx can help you...

FREE IMEI RESTORE for i5700 spica i5800 galaxy3 i5801 apollo

always do a EFS backup and keep it in a safe place, even if you don't ever use Debug Only options on Odin. Some months ago i lost my IMEI without any logical explanation, without flashing anything, i just plug my phone one night to the wall charger when it was at 2% and i wake up without IMEI. But i had an IMEI backup that i made via Recovery Mode and i could restore it, since then i stop using 2.6.32 kernels.
