Default Phone dropped = really weird software problem.

When I was biking, quite fast, going down a slope on tarmac, with rain and sandy mud, I dropped phone. There were loads of massive scratches but everything was in one piece. I removed my sim and micro SD, and when I got home I dried it off over the heater. I switched it on and it went into a bootloop.

The weird part is that when I flashed cm7 alpha 4 through recovery.......it worked.

Could someone explain wth happened and if I could ever use froyo again?

    Thanks very much for reading.

OT: Few days ago I accidentally dropped my spica on the floor and it emptied the SD card! Luckily with Recuva and PC INSPECTOR File Recovery I got almost everything restored.. :-)

too little information..I guess you had your /sys /data /cache on ext2, or maybe you had apps on the 2nd partition of your microSD, when it happened..you just had a corrupt file system when you dropped your Spica which dislodged the microSD..
