Exclamation Properly bricked?!! No download mode even! [help!]

    Hey guys

The computer had a blue screen mid-flash (god bless MS) and now the phone is nothing but a small orange icon which has a computer and a mobile connected by a yellow exclamation mark icon.

    Is it like properly bricked?
    What can I do?

I was reading this - Can I use this on the Spica? If at all, how? I can't even get into download mode!

HELP PLEASE! WAITING FOR SOME HELP!

    Thank you

Hey man. Will try. But I think I rather go and put it in for service. If it's corrupted, they wouldn't know that I had a rooted firmware on it. If it's not, well and good

UPDATE : WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOO! somehow I tried various combinations and stuff, and finally somehow put it into download, double quick erased the PDA and pushed in a fresh copy of JF2. IM SO GLAD ME SPICA IS ALRIGHT!

Without the computer attached, it doesn't start - it displays that stupid computer+phone icon. With the computer attached, it goes in boot but doesn't flash. This method worked for me and I think another IMP bit was clearing the PDA.

The trick is to turn it off, take the battery away for like 5 min, then, put it in, start with the cable plugged but then as it starts to boot, take the battery and cable off, put only the cable back in and press the download keys! (Yes, it's a little confusing but its how it is)

Phew! This Spica is one tough bugger. Now I realize it is actually pretty hard to completely brick it

THANKS A TON FOR YOUR HELP GUYS! CHEERS! SAMDROID IS SUPER-AWESOME!

    Hi Aneesh,

Are you sure that is the procedure. If the battery is taken off how can I put it in download mode?

My problem is that the phone just does not go into the download mode. It does not boot nor does it go into recovery. Is my Spcia bricked?

    Thanks,
    Srikanth
