Recomend a ROM

I think it depend on what do you prioritize.

Choose 2.1 base roms if you prefer :
- Better battery time.
- DivX Video
- Stability
- Problem free - Super User
- Less memory footprint.
- some USSD code won't work with 2.2

Choose 2.2 if you prefer:
- More feature : some app won't run on 2.1!!!
- Better benchmark score.
- Continuing improved rom, as most of devs here focus on 2.2 now leaving 2.1 rom like a dead product.
- better GPS

AFAIK we can unlock spica's features in both 2.1 and 2.2. These features include:
- 3D driver from Intercept
- unsync Libsqlite => speedy database write.
- ext2/ext4 partition
- overclock kernel

I personally prefer freedom's Frozen spiclair with darth's Franken kernel.
