i tell him to reflash stock 2.1 and cook a new rom and it worked.

when he cook roms it always display that error, i told him then to reflash 2.1, lk 208 and then put the rom again and it worked

Can someone tell me how to use APP2SD on Samdroid mod. Everytime I enable APP2SD, apps still install on Phone Memory and I don't see any change in SD card 2nd partition free space. And when I try to disable APP2SD, I cannot boot my phone anymore, the bootscreen just goes on a loop for hours, wiping Dalvik-cache didn't help either. It happened to me thrice in two months.

Yesterday I wanted to test that again, so prior to making any changes I made a backup using Recovery via ODIN, which created some 300MB PDA.tar file. When I disabled APP2SD, it goes into bootloop again. So I tried to restore the backup via ODIN. But it doesn't seem to work, all I get is a blank homescreen with a working notification bar, apart from that nothing works. Mysteriously I'm able to attend incoming calls, but I cannot make a call since nothing else works apart from Notification bar. I don't want to loose my app data by installing firmware & mod from scratch. Can somone tell me how to recover that back up file correctly from ODIN.

i dont know about restoring your back up ..but i can tell you the step which i followed to enable working App2sd ..ofcourse if you let go the back up.
1) if you are able to go to recovery then 1st format the second partition Ext2 (you need to have Ext2 partition for this if you dont have it then make Ext2 partition of your choice then do the above step)
2)apply update Cooked from kitchen having (Full base package-XXH1 + latest kernel + stuff you want) .
3)Enable app2sd and Dalvik-Cache option from samdroid tools.
4)reboot twice and now hopefully you will be able to use App2sd

Hi all,

sorry if this topic is already discussed. Here is my problem:

I have downloaded Samdroid.zip generated with kitchen V2.
Then I have opened with winzip and :

removed /system/media/audio/ringtones/*
removed /system/media/audio/notifications/*

added /system/media/audio/ringtones/*.ogg
added /system/media/audio/notifications/*.ogg
replaced framework-res in /system/framework and some system/app

Installed new Kitchen. The problem is that after installing i have no sound - sound daemon fails to start.
Do you have any idea if there are some rules in adding/removing notifications sounds in /system folder?

Note: If I do manually the steps above (after I install non-modified kitchen) everything works.

How can I modify the kitchen with my customizations?

first of all loving the kitchen for a while now
However I've been having some problems with samdroid. I thought installing a newer samdroid would fix it but it didn't :

I get one or two messages of "process not responding" and I also keep having freezes (black screens) that i can only fix by removing my battery.
Sometimes even when I just booted it up and try to open/do something.

currently with the deodexed 1.3.1 and LS.09.4

I'm desperate for a solution, as I'm even close to going back to the official roms. (If i get around to finding one, now that samsung-firmwares is gone)

Guys,
I had installed Custom FW from kitchen v2 :

Couple of issues that I am facing :
1. Google a/c setup only works first time on an installation of FW. After that, It fails to contact the google server !
2. Even If i setup my google a/c , Google talk does not connect to the server and Android Market is not able to download anything !! ( Stuck at starting download )

Has anyone else faced this issue ?

I was thinking of reverting back to the original FW just to see if this behavior changes.
Can someone please tell me how to do that.

i am applying LK2.0.8 + samdroidmod kithcen v2 + FE7b9 now my phone cannot enter the accounts & sync setting..if i choose it my phone keeps rebooting..anyone have same problem with me? please help..thank you guys..

Works fine for me, only need to long press the camera button instead of just pressing.

Do you have data connection active? If YES try do delete access point from Settings-Wireless-Mobile networks then reboot the phone (or use any tool to disable data connections and reboot).
