    Lightbulb Solution to Bricked Spica

Last night I installed a custom bootlogo causing a ass load of havock on my device! But I started this thread to help anyone as this is my 13th Brick lol!

    Boots to Recovery!
You have Firmware there but the bootlogo cannot boot or a problem with the firmware
TIP - Reflash with Odin and strangley what worked for me was to use Cm8.1 One package and get accsess to CM Recovery which trust me has loads more options and tools to use than the standard recovery, anyway from there mount to usb storage and copy the zip file you want to use and It works!

thanks duwo for your soultion aswell! and sort of reply
Also to leshak for explaining what a brick is but I have sort of doen it again any tips anyone I can enter recovery and dowload more but It just gos straight to recovery!

If it dosent work leave a reply and ill have a go!

It was to hard to use this thread [Tutorial] How to UN-brick Spica??

We already know if spica can go to recovery or download is not bricked, have only corupted data.... if you know what you doing you even not need to use odin, in many causes you can use android commander or recovery scripts... Mods please close...

'Brick' for i5700 - this is when you can't enter in flash mode, everything else - read the forum!

    Hi Leshak,

May I have a question regarding this problem ? Thanks . If I flash completly broken kernel, which even doesn't enter into recovery nor boot at all (I mean I do -> /xbin/bml_flash boot <BrokenKernel>) will I brick my Spica ? Or, in other words : will I be able to enter at least "download mode" in such a situation ? I am really scared to test this myself, but maybe you know the answer .

can we not modify recovery/some other part of OS so that this never happens.

if it detects that we are trying to change bootlogo and it is over 190KB it should not allow to change.

why don't u check the size of the. png manually??
and yes, as long as ur spica is going into download mode,, IT IS NOT BRICKED!!
and really there is a very little chance (0.0000000…1%) that ull brick ur phone by flashing kernels and firmwares!!

Wouldn't it be better just to prohibit writing to flash from address 0x5c600000 (bootloader starts here, bootlogo starts before at 0x5c400000- read here)?
    Code:
    setprop persist.world.domination 1
