PS my phone's Dutch, maybe a bad batch of Spicas came to NL?
Go to the Wifi advanced settings and set the 'Sleep Policy' to 'Never'. That should solve the problem.

Thats no solution at all, as WiFi drains battery power.

Btw. this problem indeed isn't fixed with the newer firmwares - as I said that it probably was, I just got lucky for some time.

This is a very annoying problem, but it doesn't seem to happen with all devices.

Came across this thread because I googled the problem - I'm having the exact same issue with my Spica and it's driving me crazy

    Any ideas?

disabling wifi sleep solved the problem for me. this makes sense to me because sometimes i download big files and i wouldn't want to get disconnected when the screen goes to sleep. we just have to be a little more responsible in managing battery life.

... but yeah, it would be greAt if that feature worked. A setting for WiFi sleep on inactivity would be great too.

this happens to me also. i think its coming from sleep where wifi radio turns off by default then you try to turn it on again manually.

happened to me on dxjc4 unrooted, lk2.02, lk208 w/ and w/o dvm. ill try to disable wifi sleep...
