    Default USB Problem

    Hello everyone
I am affraid that somehow I screwed up USB port. First of all, my PC doesn't react to connection with the phone at all (It does with the other spica). Then there is a problem with charging. Sometimes it charges the phone, sometimes it doesn't. Mostly the connection with charger works, it's worse with PC. The next strange thing is that, when I connect turned off phone to USB then it turns on automatically and then doesn't even charge the phone... Cables, charger and PC are completly fine, I've tested with another spica.
Here is the list of the last things that I've done with it:
    1. Flashing in Odin
    2. Installation of sgm-beta2-basic-edition (here I've done some bad sh1t... becouse I didn't do fileconversion to ext2 before installing it, but the phone worked. Even after I put some music on the phone and installed some apps)
    3. Fileconversion to ext2
Then we (me and my friend) decided to put another package on the phone. We didn't like the new market + we cooked exactly what we wanted in the kitchen. And here are when the problems started, USB just stopped working as it should. My friend was playing with the phone for 2 hours and I don't know, but maybe he screwed something up.
    4. Installation of the new package sgm cooked in the kitched with voku kernel etc (I changed the SD card, USB still didn't work)

Have you got any advices guys? Maybe if I install some USB drivers on the phone it would work? I guess flashing can't be the solution since USB doesn't work. And of course I've checked debugging in the phone a dosen of times. Please Help.

    Hello everybody,

I have problem too, and I'm writing here instead of creation of new topic. So, I bought not new samsung i5700 spica android, it's my first android. My problem is that I can't connect to PC my phone. I used Samsung new PC studio v1.5 which i downloaded from samsung.com and v1.4.0.il2 which i found in this forum and some other forums as version which can "see" spica. I have installed drivers which I found here: Samsung USB Drivers and of course PC studio and Kies (can't see my phone too) have wrote some drivers. When I connect my device using NPS v1.5 I'm clicking on "manual connect" and choose "cable" I can select 2 COM ports, one of them is number 15 (in device manager samsung connection is shown as 16 port) and when I select it program founds my phone, but can not recognize and names it as "i5700R" and after one second automatically it says that PC studio can't change connection type and it do not connect "i5700R" which was found before. If i select OTHER PORTS they say that THERE IS NO DEVICE CONNECTED (if port in device manager is 12 so in nps it is named as 11, if it is in device maanger 15 in nps it is named 14....). In use of 1.4 version of NPS the situation is as in v1.5 but only the name of found device is "i0000" and it say that program can not recognize that phone... BUT when I select (in v1.5) the update software option in menu in the update windows I SEE my device as "i5700R" but of course i can't do any updates.

When I connect my smartphone to PC I do not see any USB icon in the bar where is clock, BT icon signals etc... USB debugging mod is set... I have read many articles and tries many variants and USB ports but situation is as I mentioned. Phone only charges when i connect it to PC via USB. For today, I would like only to transfer files to microSD card, but I can not see it in my computer because I can not see the usb icon in phone and select mass storage option...
Thank you very much in advice, and sorry for my bad english
