    Default Vodafone apn settings for India

    Does vodafone live works..for anybody here in india ? .I have the apn i get the E symbol as well ..but cannot browse !

    hhmm,, u should have used the helpdesk...

    anyways:
    in the settings..
    Add ur APN to the SERVER... save... done

    Can you post the full apn settings if in case u r using vodafone live...

    Just www in APN works.

    just set apn to 'www'
    but u must have activated gprs plan on ur no.

    and vodafone live doesnt work bcause in android proxy settings dont work.

    hhmm...

    Afaik, the 'www' apn is for the vodafone mobile connect not for vodafone live(Rs 21 pack/3 days)!!

    Here is the setting for Vodafone(though im a ex-vodafone customer.. ):

    Name: Anything you like.
    APN: portalnmms
    Proxy: 010.010.001.100
    Port: 9401
    Username: Blank
    Password: Blank
    Server: portalnmms
    MMSC: Blank
    MMS Proxy: Blank
    MMS Port: Blank
    MCC: 405
    MNC: 03
    Authentication: None
    APN type: internet+mms

    Note: You will only be able to surf the net,, u wont be able to download anything or use any google app(gmail,market,etc)

    yup,, u can use the 'www' APN... but its damn expensive... (i stay in kolkata, not sure about other cities)

    Yup very expensive . I live in Bangalore..! am using airtel as an alternative..

    hahaa.. that's the reason why I changed to tata docomo,, nd fortunately they are also gonna launch 3G,, tomorrow maybe,, as a diwali gift...
