Lightbulb Change Fonts - How To-

    Holla everyone!!

Im back again with another thread to make your spica look cooler visually. As the title suggests this guide will help u to change ur fonts as u like the "EASY WAY"!!

    Method:
    1. Download the attached file. (Change Font.zip)
    2. Get any .ttf file. (Google it. U will find lots of them for computers!)
    3. Clone the .ttf file. (Copy paste it in the same place, dont overwrite)
    4. Rename one .ttf file to DroidSans.ttf.
    5. Rename the other .ttf file to Clockopia.ttf.
    6. Open and direct Change Font.zip to system>fonts> and replace the files. (Using WinRar or 7zip on PC.)
    7. Apply from recovery!! Done!

FONT CHANGER: Use this app to change your font. Linked by ungaze. Original thread= [APP] Font Changer (lite & paid version) - xda-developers

    Use ur Barcode Scanner:

Note: Some fonts may look weird on spica so keep experimenting!!
Apply the Undo Pack if u have any problem.
The Change Font.zip contains Sony Sketch.ttf (My favourite!)

And obviously i dont take any responsibility if u brick ur spica.

imho,, if u follow my tutorials step by step then there is 0.00001% chance to brick ur spica because i try them myself before writing them!! but their is still 0.00001% chance to brick ur cell because electronic gadgets are unpredictable on top of that their are many OVER-CURIOUS people..
if their is any real danger then trust me u'll see a warning that even a blind could read... Just check out this thread if u dont believe Change Boot Logo from recovery! How-To

i also think 1 ttf is required to change system fonts but i was unsuccessful with many 1 ttf methods. i tried to replace and rename differently but it didnt work... maybe im was doing something wrong... but the above method was successful in most of the cases//

    im not sure, still.....
many times we see strange boxes instead of texts. so i think those 10 ttfs are to ensure those boxes dont appear... and those 10 ttfs were actually one or two font in different style- Italic, bold,etc.... we can do the same in this case u just need to rename the corresponding font,, e.g. DroidSans-Italic.ttf//

Actually, the are 3 out of the 12 font that we can change and see the effect immediately or more obviously.

    1. Clocktopia - Changes the clock font on the lockscreen. (The default clocktopia only has numbers inside the font)
    2. Droidsans - Changes almost every font that we use on the phone
    3. Droidsansbold - Changes fonts that we use on bold format

One of the other 9 as I have found out is used for passwords. The rest I don't really know.

True, I have used many fonts and most of them show up weird in the app drawer app list. Some apps wont even show names. If anyone can explain why this happens I would be very thankful.

true,, I cut down on the bold.ttf but it was still working so I wasn't really bothered... so at the end of the day,, just get those clockopia and droidsans and enjoy~~
    and thanks...

    1. I think it should work for most languages but not sure about arabic... but it should work... and some text WILL still be in english,, u I guess it just depends upon your font.ttf selection!!

    2. The fonts are sized up to fit properly. There is an app which changes font sizes but its very bug and evens gets stuck on boot...
I think if u open the. ttf file and replace the current size with a bigger size (e.g change 10 size with 20),, then it will be modified... but I'm not really sure which size is currently being used~ OR GO FOR A .ttf OF BIGGER SIZE,, safe and certain...

It's working , Yesterday, i installed another font, (Sony sketch.ttf) but BOLD, walked with the steps, and applied it through recovery, the phone booted but some thing happened... The Phone went back to an old backup all on its own :O i dont really know what happened. then i applied the change font.zip that u have provided then every thing went back to normal but all apps keeps force closing.. i flashed an odin back up for now, and i guess imma use your fonts.

1 more Q: i backed up the old DroidSans.ttf and Clockopia.ttf, if i want to go back, just follow the steps then apply it? Thats it?
