Change Lockscreen (Widget Locker)- How To

Holla everyone!!

Ever wondered how themers are changing lockscreen in the Share Your Screenshots! section?? Here's the answer!!

As the title indicates, this thread helps u to change ur lockscreen into something as cool as the Iphone or Sense lockscreen. The method i use is the easiest and fastest but you can also check out the original xda thread for other methods. I tried it myself and it works!!! You need to download WidgetLocker Lockscreen - Android app on AppBrain,though its a paid app!!



My Method:
1. Download WidgetLocker Lockscreen - Android app on AppBrain.
2. Copy the .apk by using Root Explorer or Estrong File Manager and paste it on your sd.
3. Copy the .apk to ur computer.
4. Rename the .apk to .zip!
5. Download the attached file (Lockscreen Mods.zip).
6. Copy the images in one of the folders of Lockscreen Mods.zip into res\drawable-hdpi of com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker-1.zip!
7. Rename the .zip into .apk and paste it in ur sd card and install.
8. Done!!

INCASE U HAVE THE PROBLEM "Application not installed";
1. Paste the modified com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker-1.apk in the system\app\ of the attached file(Recovery Push.zip).
2. Apply through recovery!!

YOU CAN REQUEST ANY CHANGES OF THE .png FILES IF U WANT! IF ITS POSSIBLE, U'LL SURELY GET IT!!! IT WILL BE HELPFUL IF U PROVIDE THE FONT FILES AND MENTION THE COLOR CHANGES!! DONT DEMAND TOO MUCH COZ IM STILL A NOOB AT THIS//

Note: In the app remember to change Look and Feel>> Slider and Layout>> Iphone OR SLIDER (According to image replaced) If u are updating from recovery then always keep the .zip file with com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker-1.apk(unmodified).

Lock bot app does similar thing , in that you can have different wallpapers, clock, lock screens as well like iphone,SE, samsung galaxy s and HTC.. check that out It has two versions..lockbot pro has more features but paid version

yes,, iv used that..
but through widgetlocker u can edit manually to suit ur style// not sure if we can do the same with lockbot... i didnt really liked those pre-made themes...
and Lockbot was a bit buggy for me....

btw the pre-made theme feature is soon coming on Widget Locker too.. officially announced by the dev//

if u are trying to paste using Winrar then just select the files and add... they will get overwritten!!

Note TO EVERYONE: if u are updating from recovery then always keep the .zip file with original.apk(unmodified).. just incase//

Jay, can you change the text if i ask in some of the modded locks? i want to say "Desbloquear" instad of "Unlock" (Desbloquear=Unlock in spanish )
