[Dev] Kernel for i9000 (with Root!) LK9.01.beta9 [22.06.2010]
WARNING: THIS METHOD CAN BE DANGEROUSE. DO NOTHING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU DO.
I CAN'T BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TRANSFORM YOUR I9000 LIKE A BRICK
If you want only Root (Superuser+su), I recommend using this guide
My first Kernel for i9000
I don't have i9000 yet and so many thanks to those who helped test it!
Now we have
1. Root in adb via 'su'
2. Root in terminal via 'su'
How to install LK2.xx
Your data or programs will not be deleted!!!!
1. Download: i9000_Kernel_LK9_01b9.7z
2. Unpack
3. Flash with Odin3 as PDA file
Screenshots

If you don't want use my kernel but want 'su', you can:
Run 'adb shell' or in terminal on i9000
and flash originalCode:su cat /sbin/su > /system/bin/su chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
If you have problem with this Kernel or want use original, you can flash original Kernel from JF2Twitter | Devices: Samsung Spica i5700 - SamdroidMod 2.0.1 Froyo | Nexus One - Android 2.2 Froyo | Nexus S CyanogenMod 7.1

Sorry, I don't have i9000, and I can't test myself

but news:
LK9.01 has problem - boot loop, but if you remove sim card - ok (may be...)
so, you can add su to your /system
1. remove sim card
2. flash my kernel
3. boot
4. connect to PC
5. in cmd -> adb shell
cat /sbin/su > /system/bin/su
chmod 4755 /system/su
6. flash original kernel
Please, someone can check this instruction
