thanks Leshak. I assume I have to use gnu tar? because when I use win tar (or 7zip), the tar file will cause problem to the flash. Or is this a problem with the zImage itself?

I had to copy the update.zip file to the internal storage space and then it seemed to work ..... weird !!! But I can confirm it works with I9000XXJF5 :-)

    2. Unpack
    3. Flash this file as CSC file with Odin3
Don't need PIT file or anything else?
All programs deleted means all apps, settings etc?

I didn't try to remove contacts, calendar or launcher, as I think that they indeed depend on each other. Some apps \ widgets have removed without any problems (at least not seen yet)
    Removed from I9000XXJF5
    - aldiko-standard-1.2.6.1-samsung-s1.apk
    - bookstore
    - BuddiesNow
    - Client_uTalk_03062010
    - ClockPackage
    - DualClock
    - MiniDiary
    - SamsunWidget_CalendarClock
    - SamsunWidget_FeedAndUpdate
    - SamsunWidget_StockClock
    - SamsunWidget_WeatherClock

Is there also possibility to replace the dialer and contact application with something that response faster on incoming call. The current version sometimes take some time to display the caller identity..
