    It's better to have some method than to not have any at all.

    Yeah, the threads not pointless. Any careful way to try to prevent further issues is a good thing.

    I thought there had been 3 bricks- How many have there been if it's worked 3-4 times? :-)

    There's no harm in testing it- if you can actually do it.

    Bricked phone, when downgrading from sgm+hp4.. I followed all tips in this thread before flashing.
    Tomorrow I'll try the odin pda fix.

    Sorry to hear that.

    Could you please also state to which version of kernel were you downgrading to and what exactly was the procedure (wipe dalvik-cache, data, which kernel package?).
    More info we have easier it might be to identify the problem.
