Frozen Spicaclair V1

I just got tired of zillion not-fully-working versions of Froyo, GingerBread, themes, mods compilations, SOD, bootstucks etc...
So I prepared for myself an Eclair version that have all that I need working and I'm about to share it here.

I call it Frozen Spicaclair

It's based on Eclair package from the Kitchen with all the good things we have here on Samdroid
(by the tests I made it's fastest Eclair ROM here - Linpack 9.3+ Quadrant 470 with my ext2/ext4/ext2 partitioning)

- working with bluetooth headsets (reported by users)
- ext4 support meaning safer data on /data partition
- bootanimation (Red Android coin) The Great Boot Animation
- circular battery meter
- 3D gallery with dynamic background
- antibyte's FrozenEclair 9beta1 update -={ SAMDROID TURBO }=-
(containing SoundFix and Undervoltage, Camera orientation Fix...)
- XMister's eclair kernel STD with 1% battery support & with new recovery
- build.prop with some tweaks
- new gps.conf from GPS fix Working GPS finally we have it 2.1/2.2
- hosts file in /etc dir for blocking ads in games and programs
(like you have with AdFree app)
- few usefull apps added
(ES file manager, ES task manager, ClockSync, Compass)

It's quick and swift... have hardware DivX decoding working, YT working and everything else




V1.1 changelog

- fixed [][][] after ... in long names (revert back to original fonts)
- changed default wallpaper
- Tweaks with ssswitch 8.5 by voku1987 includes:
- SD card speedup (read ahead 512k default)
- minfree lowmemorykiller settings
- AWAKE - SLEEP - MUSIC modes
- ...
- Phone and Contacts apks with 315px contact icon support (you need to set again picture of contacts)
- Zeam as built in HOME app (launcher) and Android System Info app



V1.5 changelog
- removed ssswitch script (you can install it by yourself separately)
- added YONIP OCed kernel. CPU now runs 1066MHz top freq * THANKS BANJO *
- added 2d-3d drivers mix for Eclair so now you can playing 3D games (played Fruit Ninja to test)
- added libSQL for Eclair so I/O is now even faster


UltimateFrozenSpicaClair v2.0 - perfected
There is nothing much left to improve regarding 1.5 version... but here is the list>

* newer YouTube and Market app, * dpi back to 160 (original one)
* added CMP player that also supports internet radio
* added Reboot2Recovery and Faster Fix app (use the second one to set NTP server in gps.conf - default is set to europe.pool.ntp.org)
* BnR sense theme with hezramays mods MIX Gingerbread Red + Black n Red Sense + Liquid Battery + New Spinner!
+ my addition of battery icons and flyin animations
and as a cherry on the cake... ... ... ...
YONIP Eclair kernel with 24bpp (thanks BANJO)
LP HTC Sense as default home app


and this will be final release *since it's perfect now

2.01 is just minor changes:
- removing leftovers from burning battery icons during charging
- update to newer version of some system/app
- added Maps and MyTracks since I found it very usefull

You should wipe at least CACHE and DALVIK-CACHE but you may consider do a factory reset (wipe data & cache) if you have any troubles.

You can use any Eclair theme you want Eclair Theme Index

If you like this, you can buy first kid you bump to an ICECREAM (sandwich?)
